The Zero-Collision Utility Solution for Siemens ICONO and Pheno Suites
Stop guessing on utility placement. The ATUP is the only precision-engineered hub designed to fit perfectly within the table’s footprint, ensuring Full Table Functionality without interference. By keeping all power and gas connections tucked under the table, it eliminates the major Trip Hazards common in high-traffic interventional suites.
Engineered for Siemens Angiography Suites
The Angiography Table Utility Pedestal (ATUP), manufactured by XRAY Lighting Inc., is a specialized 14-gauge stainless steel enclosure designed to consolidate 120V power, data, video, and medical gas connections into a single, code-compliant location.
Verified Clearance
Eliminates the risk of Siemens Multi-Tilt, Tilt, or Basic patient tables colliding with improperly positioned or oversized floor-mounted utility boxes.
The 34-Inch Rule
To ensure a collision-free environment, the ATUP must be placed starting exactly 34 inches from the Patient Table Orientation Point.
Safety First
Traditional floor boxes often protrude into staff walking paths. The ATUP stays beneath the table footprint, removing dangerous trip hazards for doctors and nurses.
Code Compliance
Features a NEMA Class 1 approved design and high-quality medical-grade stainless steel for sterile environments.
Purpose-Built for Siemens Interventional Suites
The ATUP is engineered specifically for the following Siemens Healthineers Interventional systems:
ARTIS ICONO
Floor, Ceiling, and Biplane configurations
ARTIS Pheno
Advanced robotic angiography systems
Note: The ATUP is not compatible with the Sensis Combo EP Box or optional foot-side accessory rails.
Precision Engineering, Premium Materials
Built to withstand the demands of modern interventional suites
Construction: Heavy-duty, 14-gauge 304 Stainless Steel with a brushed finish
Dimensions: Compact footprint of 15″ W x 10″ D x 7″ H
Internal Capacity: Ample space for medical gas piping, electrical conduit, and high-speed data cabling
Mounting: Secure floor-mounted design with internal anchoring points for a clean, professional finish
Utility Support: Built-in mounting brackets for standard medical gas outlets and electrical receptacles
Code Compliance: NEMA Class 1 approved design for sterile environments
The Critical 34-Inch Placement Spec
To ensure zero-collision operation, the ATUP must be positioned starting exactly 34 inches from the Patient Table Orientation Point. This verified clearance eliminates the risk of C-arm or table collision with utility connections.

Eliminate Recall Visits
In a high-traffic angiography suite, there is no room for “approximate” measurements.
Speed Up Installation
Provides a clear, pre-determined target for electricians and plumbers, reducing installation time and complexity.
Professional Aesthetics
Replaces cluttered wall connections and messy cabling with a centralized, professional pedestal that enhances suite appearance.
Unrestricted Workflow
By staying within the table's "shadow," the ATUP allows the clinical team to move freely around the patient without looking at the floor.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the "34-inch rule" for the ATUP?
To ensure a zero-collision environment with Siemens ARTIS ICONO and Pheno systems, the ATUP must be placed starting exactly 34 inches from the Patient Table Orientation Point.
Is the ATUP compatible with the Sensis Combo EP Box?
No. The ATUP is not physically compatible with the Sensis Vibe EP Combo box. However, in most circumstances, the Sensis box can be relocated to a different area of the room, allowing you to still use the ATUP for your main pedestal connections.
Is the ATUP compatible with foot-side accessory rails?
No. This pedestal is not compatible with the optional foot-side accessory rail. Please refer to our product photos or technical documents for visual clarification on these clearance requirements.
Why are there no single-gang openings or connections on the front (patient head-side) of the ATUP?
The ATUP is designed for a high-precision, low-profile installation directly at the foot of the Siemens ARTIS ICONO or Pheno table. The front face of the pedestal is intentionally kept free of connections to ensure zero interference with the table’s complex mechanical movement.
There are two primary reasons for this “Clear Zone”:
1. Rotational Clearance (The “Clock” Effect): The Siemens table is capable of rotating approximately 270°. As the table pivots—much like the hand of a clock—the corners of the table base at the patient foot-side swing in an arc that brings them extremely close to the front of the ATUP.
2. Collision Prevention: If cables, medical gas hoses, or data plugs were connected to the front of the ATUP, the rotating corners of the table would cause a physical collision. This creates a high risk of:
• Cable Shear: Snapping or fraying expensive data and power lines.
• Equipment Damage: Potential impact damage to the table’s internal mechanical items or the ATUP housing itself.
• Operational Downtime: Any breakage during a procedure could compromise the sterile environment and system functionality.
By utilizing the other three sides of the ATUP for all electrical, data, video, and medical gas connections, we maintain a safe, code-compliant “Stay-Out” zone that allows the table to rotate through its full range of motion without obstruction.
